Short TEFL Course London - finding the optimal solution:

If you are looking for a short TEFL course then you've kind of got your work cut out. Once you move away from the apparent guarantees of the 4-week intensive, it sometimes seems that you take your life into your own hands as you jump into a sea of short TEFL course alternatives.

After research here at Cactus looking at TEFL short course provision closely, the problem we encountered with most of the short TEFL courses out there, and the criticism voiced against all short TEFL courses, is that they never seem to provide you with what the longer courses always promote - and that's teaching practice (TP).

Another problem was that short TEFL courses with sufficient course content are often full time and mean you can't work at the same time, reducing your holiday time, or forcing you to ask for time off and reveal your TEFL plans to an unsuspecting employer.

Well we put all this into the melting pot, and think we've come up with something which fits the bill.

Cactus has worked with Malvern House school, a leading English language school in London, to come up with a formula which gives you enough course content (40 hours) to make the course worthwhile, with a small amount of genuine teaching practice, with real, live language students, and which runs on a part-time basis!
